7th What?!Anyways, thought I might share that with. I've average a miute less every home meet, so next week's meet I might take off another, and then finally I'll be in contention for the record. I want to get it, and my dad thinks I might just do it. I don't care I don't win a meet this year, I just want the school record. I want to leave THS on an awesome note.

An eclipse of the sun had just occurred and a few rays peeked behind the black shape, trying desperately to regain their paths into my eyes. Brilliant colors danced around me, bouncing off reflections from the ocean, and I was mesmerized. I started to see little, dizzying spots but for the life of me I could not look away.
“Olivia, don’t stare at the sun you’ll hurt your eyes,” a familiar voice said to me, drawing me out of my trance like state, but I did not look away.

It was a cold day in December, the exact date of which I can no longer recall, but as to the events that transpired, I will never forget. Every breath I took felt like knives were being stabbed into my chest. The coldness was so severe that ice had started forming on my eyelashes, yet somehow I felt as if I were on fire.
